Wärtsilä 14 - Motor Diesel

El Wärtsilä 14 es el motor más compacto en su rango de potencia en el mercado marino, y sirve tanto para propulsión como para aplicaciones de grupos electrógenos auxiliares en los mercados marítimos y offshore globales. El motor es un elemento integral dentro de la visión Smart Marine de Wärtsilä para el futuro del transporte marítimo, según la cual la eficiencia óptima, la seguridad y la sostenibilidad ambiental serán los pilares clave para lograr y mantener operaciones rentables para los propietarios y operadores de barcos de todo el mundo.

El motor de alta velocidad Wärtsilä 14 está disponible en configuraciones de 12 y 16 cilindros, con una potencia de salida entre 749 y 1340 kWm en propulsión mecánica, y entre 675 y 1155 kWe en grupos electrógenos auxiliares y aplicaciones de propulsión diésel-eléctrica.

A Rating – Continuous Duty
This rating is an ISO 15550 rating. Intended for continuous use in applications requiring uninterrupted service at full power. For vessels operating at rated load and rated speed up to 100% of the time without interruption or load cycling (80 to 100% load factor). Typical operation ranges from 5000 to 8000 hours per year.

B Rating – Heavy Duty
This rating is an ISO 15550 rating. Intended for continuous use in variable load applications where full power is limited to a period of 10 out of every 12 operating hours (83% of the time) with some load cycling. Overall load factor is between 40 – 80%. Typical operation ranges from 3000 to 5000 hours per year.

C Rating – Medium Continuous Duty
This rating is an ISO 15550 rating. Intended for continuous use in variable load applications where full power is limited to a period of 6 out of every 12 operating hours (50% of the time) with cyclical loading and speed. Overall load factor is between 20 – 80%. Typical operation ranges from 2000 to 4000 hours per year.

D Rating – Intermittent Duty
This rating is an ISO 15550 rating. Intended for continuous use in variable load applications where full power is limited to a period of 3 out of every 12 operating hours (25% of the time) with some load cycling. Overall load factor is maximum 50%. Typical operation ranges from 2000 to 4000 hours per year.
